Holiday Hours at Crop A While

HOLIDAY HOURS – Regular hours except for the following days …

January is time for the annual Craft and Hobby Association (CHA) Trade Show and Crop A While will be closed from Sunday, January 4 to Wednesday, January 14, 2015  – The store will resume its regular hours on Thursday, January 15.

With Halloween just around the corner and Christmas not far behind, Crop A While is hosting lots of seasonal activities …

  • Looking to give your home or office a touch of Halloween ? Check out the banner workshops on October 15 (adults) and October 19 (youth).
  • Looking forward to getting your Christmas cards done? Check out the card workshops on October 23 and 26.
  • Want to get together with friends and catch up on your projects? Check out the 12-hour Mega Crop on October 25 or join us for one of the regular weekly crops.
  • And don’t miss the scrapbooking workshops on October 22, 24 and 30.

Crop A While is officially 1 year old!

ThankYouWow – it’s hard to believe it has already been a year since Crop A While opened its doors. Since then we have made many new friends and have become part of a great community of crafters.  Many thanks to all our Crop A While clients, friends and families for your continuing encouragement and support.
This has been an awesome adventure! We look forward to seeing what wonderful surprises are around the corner in Crop A While’s Year 2!

Saturday, September 13 is fun time in the Heart of Orleans …

Come celebrate Crop A While’s 1st Anniversary
and join the fun at the St Joseph Blvd FALL FESTFall Fest Poster

FALL FEST is back for its second year … this time with a retro carnival theme!
There will be major activity zones spread throughout St. Joseph, including a Kids Zone, a Big Top with live entertainment, and a Strongman Zone with demonstrations. In additions, businesses all along the Boulevard will be hosting their own Fall Fest activities.

Garage Sale IconCrop A While will certainly be part of the fun. It’s out 1st anniversary and we’re celebrating with an ANNIVERSARY SALE from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm
– 50% off on sidewalk sale products
– 20% off on in-store products
–  Garage sale bargains in the crop area
– Surprise draws throughout the day
Make’n takes  in our mall’s demonstration tent at 1:00 pm

And since Crop A While’s actual anniversary day is on September 14, the in-store sale will continue on Sunday from 12:00 to 4:00 … with more surprises and draws.

New dates for Mandala class – September 16 and 23

Marilyn Harris Mills, the instructor for the Mandala Muse Journals, will be shifting her two-part class by a week due to unexpected surgery.  We hope all goes smoothly with the surgery and look forward to having Marilyn at Crop A While a little later in the month.

Please note the new class dates below …
Tuesdays, September 16 and 23
Zentangle Inspired Art  with Marilyn Harris Mills
In this two-part class, you will create Zentangles, mandalas and wonderfully creative journals using a variety of materials.

Time: 6:00 to 9:00 pm
Cost: $65 for 2-part class (incl materials)
What to bring: markers, pens, colouring pencils, watercolour pencils of your choice to colour mandalas in class, paper trimmer, bone folder
(Minimum of 8 participants needed for the class to run.)

September highlights …

September is just around the corner and the Crop A While schedule is now available on the Events page. Here are a few highlights of what’s happening:

  • Marilyn Harris Mills will be back with more Zentangle and Mandala fun making mixed media journals on September 9 and 16
  • On September 13, Crop A While will participate in the 2nd Annual St-Joseph Blvd FALL FEST with a Garage / Sidewalk Sale.
  • Crop A While will be 1 year old on September 14!
    Join us as we continue our sale in-store and kick off year 2.
  • Heather Telford will be expanding her monthly classes at Crop A While to include a daytime class.
  • Trina St. Michael will lead a mixed media workshop to create an awesome steampunk doll canvas.
  • For those new to scrapbooking, card making and paper crafts, check out the Getting Started class on September 27.

And of course we’ll continue with all the regular crops and workshops/classes.

“Christmas in July” food drive was a great success

Thanks to all our “Christmas in July” croppers who participated in our first ever food drive.  Your generosity was amazing and we are delivering several boxes of food and other necessities to the local food bank your behalf.
