Printing with a gel plate opens up a world of opportunities for artists, card makers, scrapbookers and art journallers. Gel printing can be done with a range of art materials and found objects. Join Heather in experimenting with your gel plate and create a stack of prints you can turn into cards, collage and works of art. Participants will need to bring their own gel plate and brayer to the class.
What to bring: Gel Plate*, soft brayer*, 6"x 6" detailed pattern stencil or larger
Optional but helpful: paper of different kinds (printer paper, tissue paper, rice paper, kraft paper, book or music pages), acrylic medium body paints, extra stencils, high contrast glossy magazine pages
*Heather recommends Gel Press brand of gel plates and Speedball soft rubber brayers - these have been ordered and will be available for purchase at Crop A While. Reserve yours by calling the store at 613-424-6831. Heather's students will receive a 15% discount on recommended gel plates and brayers up to the day of the class.
