SIMPLE STORIES SUMMER LOVIN mini album

Put together this sweet summer mini album, and have it ready to display all your summer memories of 2022. Or, maybe you have some pics from last year you want to get organized. From backyard BBQ’s, pool days, and picnics, to lemonade stands and play dates at the park, this cheery Simple Stories mini album will have you saying “Life is always better in the Summertime”! Thank You to designer Jana Eubank for this fun project - and for permission to share it with you.

Join Crop A While designer Karen Neilson for this two-part, in-person class. You are going to be amazed at how simple this album is to make with 10 sheets of 12 x 12 cardstock, some ephemera, a sticker sheet and some fun bling. Full album has 20 double-sided pages/pockets plus cover., including additions by Karen to make sure you use everything you can :-)

Part 1 - Prep Class - Friday, June 24, 6-9 pm
With a project like this, having your pieces organized is key for a fun, smooth assemble. In this session, Karen will teach you how simple it is to utilize all the coordinating 12x12" sheets and maximize the many pieces in your kit with very little left over. Karen will also facilitate cutting each 12x12" cardstock sheet so the elements are ready for the next step.

Part 2 - Album Assembly - Saturday, June 25, 10 am to 5 pm (May finish earller)
In this part, Karen will take you through building your album, step by step, page by page - with simple and easy instructions. Includes a flip album in your choice of yellow or teal. Part 2 is an all-day session so please remember to bring a lunch or snacks.

What to bring: Basic scrapbooking tools (paper trimmer, scissors, pencil, ruler, eraser), score board and stylus, bone folder, craft knife (Xacto or similar) and cutting mat, black fine-point marker, white marker, strong double-sided adhesive (sook-wang or Crop A While) in 1/8" and 1/4" or 3/8", thin dimensional adhesives (pop-ups), liquid dries clear glue. **Most important….bring your smile and be ready to have an enjoyable, stress free evening and day with Karen.  Oh....no fussy cutting involved! - scissors are just in case ;)**

Optional but helpful: ¼ hole punch (crop-a-dile), 1-½ circle punch, 2-½ circle punch, corner rounder, decorative scissors (zig zag) or decorative edge punch, fringe scissors or pinking shears or a grass die, paper clips, tweezers, grey ink and blending tool. Some Crop A While tools will be available for sharing.

To complete at home: glossy accents, clear glitter glue (Nuvo White Blizzard, Stickles Diamond, etc)  Because this step is done last and requires drying time, we are recommending that this finishing step be done at home with the completed album.

Please note: Photo Mats will be included in your kit (you will be cutting these in Part 1, in addition to the 10 sheets of 12x12" cardstock).  If you want your photos to have the white border of the photo mat showing, be sure to cut your photo 1/4 inch smaller than the photo mat.
